Romina Karamanea

You probably haven't heard much of Romina Karamanea, but believe me, you will soon. While this designer lacks time under belt, having just released the first collection in 2005, she certainly has what it takes. Her designs are edgy and creative with a surprisingly fresh look you don't see often. Her designs aren't offered at many stores, but keep your eyes peeled 'cause you never know! I find myself quite attracted to the designs of Romina Karamenea and hopefully, more people will realize the potential of this fabulous designer.

Rose La Biche

Recently I've become a fan of a cute little shop called Rose La Biche. I haven't ordered anything from them yet, but I'm finding it hard to resist their oh-so-cute apparel and will probably order soon. The quirky name means "Rose the Doe" which seems perfect for this adorable shop filled with basics with a twist. Check it out at: http://www.roselabiche.com

Another bright idea!

I've been coining the idea of using a skirt as a top under another top, and decided to put it to good use today. (Don't worry guys! I'm not wearing a skirt over jeans as a skirt, its meant to look like a shirt!) Please bear with me on the poor picture quality -- it was dark, it was night, I was tired, I had my camera on the wrong settings.

Here I was wearing a dark purple (despite the fact it looks black in the picture) top paired with a lacey skirt under it. Combined with darkwash jeans, vintage heels and multiple bracelets. I quite liked the outcome.

This one the picture made look a lot more awkward that it really is. It made my torso look strangish. Anyways yeah, black top + gray bubble skirt. It appears there is a piece of red/white fabric coming out my neck, but its a scarf, I swear.

So yes, thats it for today!

One pieces

As swim season is coming closer and closer, I find myself looking at more and more swimsuits. And lately, I've been quite attracted to cut-out one pieces and just regular one pieces. I know, they've been around awhile, but I must admit, until recently I didn't fancy cut-out at all. But as I see more of them, my curiosity grows and I wonder just how many people can pull them off. Anyways, if you can pull them off, kudos to you. Hopefully this season I'll not only be buying my regular dose of bikinis, but also a few one-pieces. No, not the old lady ones, and not the slut-machine ones, but the classy or unique ones.

I like the polka-dot pattern and cut of this suit, but I'm not so keen on the ruching ties.

This one, I like... a lot. One might call it a cut-out suit. Whatever it is, I adore it.

This swimsuit is, in my opinion, one of the ones where if you can pull it off you'll look fabulous. But if you can't, you'll look quite, well, I think you can figure that out on your own. Anywho, I'm not sure I would try, but its over my swimsuit budget so I won't be having the chance.

This Delia's one is a suit that I have on my want-list for certain. The strawberries are too cute and remind me of when I was little!

And that is the end of my rampage about one-piece suits. Enjoy!

A Jewel for a Shoe

My most recent discovery: shoe clips. Seriously. Time after time I try to find unique shoes but only succeed in finding your basic one color one. So as I was browsing a vintage site one day I found a tiny tidbit about shoe clips. Interested, I searched it on google and came up with some fabulous finds! I have yet to buy some, but I plan to soon. Shoe clips for those of you who didn't know, are just as they seem. clips that well...clip onto your shoes. I can't wait to order some and try them out!

Back with the Future

Seems lately demonstrations of "futuristic fashion" have been popping up allover in editorials and runway. Gold and silver American Apparel leggings have been spotted in numerous magazines. These space-like designs are great on the runway, and some can be worn in the outside world, but others would be rather inconvenient off the runway and photoshoot.
