Interesting in A Fabulous Way

Wow. I'm so bad about updating on time! Sorry about that! I have spring break next week though, so that will give me time to refresh myself from all the schoolwork! Annnd I'm going spring shopping Sunday, which will of course inspire me.

Back on the subject of fashion. I was browsing through Net-a-porter. And stumbled upon this white Marc Jacobs dress which I absolutely adore! Its not a piece I would normally like, but for some reason my eye is just attracted to it. As my title states, this dress is interesting in a fabulous way. The combination of the crisp white color + girlish ruffles + girlish boy + unique upper portion makes it quite a catch!

Up To My Elbows

So I'm back from my little "break". I've been quite busy with school lately, so until summer I'll probably only be posting every 2 days and every other day.

Anyways, theres a trend in the F/W 07.08 that I noticed when rifling through collections. And that is --- elbow length gloves! Gloves like these have been associated with tacky 80s proms often, but designers are completly revamping the definition of elbow length gloves.

Zip Yourself!

A new trend is taking place among the catwalk and editorials. This new trend is....zippers! Quite frankly, I didn't see it coming. But with all the "sporty" looks, its not unrational. I have a feeling this look cannot be pulled by everyone, but when someone does pull it off, it will look smashing. I cannot see a zippered skirt worn by many in public. However, a dress or shirt with mismatched zippers I can see looking amazing. I can also see back-zippers looking great. What are your opinions of this trend? Love it, hate it? Like it but won't try it?

Hey look its Chloe!....Really...it is!

Ah. New Chloe designer for Fall 07'. I must say, I was very very dissapointed. This isn't Chloe. It looks like Marni, which isn't completly unexpected seeing as the new designer, Paulo Melim Andersso, previously designed for Marni. This collection is too harsh and unfeminine for Chloe. There are some bits and pieces I like, but its just not Chloe. And the shoes! Oh my oh my, those shoes are all just horrendous!

Its just not right. When one thinks Chloe, he/she thinks "quirky and girly" This is the opposite of that! The spirit of Chloe just isn't in this. Again though, its not a completly terrible collection, it would seem quite nice if it were under the label of Marni.

P.S. Am I the only one who thinks the models look like complete death?

FendiFendiFendi

I love vintage designer sites. No, not ebay. I generally don't enjoy designer things on ebay because 75% of them aren't even truely designer anyways. But, a few weeks ago I found this cute site offering vintage designer apparel previously used in photoshoots and editorials. Among the clothing was this fabulous vintage Fendi jacket. Usually, I don't like stuff that screams "LOGO LOGO LOGO" However, despite the fact that this jacket has little Fs allover it, it doesn't scream logo too much to me. I didn't notice the pattern until I read the description.

In a way, I feel this jacket fits with the futuristic trend. I'm quite sure what gives it that air, but something does. It looks like it might be slightly uncomfortable and stiff, but you never know. It could end up being the most comfortable jacket in the world!

The highest of The High

Hey everyone! Please excuse the fact I haven't posted in ages! I haven't been feeling well, in fact I had to miss school yesterday! I would've had today, but it was cancelled due to snow anyways! (Ah, the perks of living in Wisconsin eh?) Anyways, seeing as I'm sick, I've been browsing around on the internet more than usual. I attempted to find a record for the highest heels ever made, but failed. Alas, I did find some that were dauntingly high however. Check it out --

Imagine walking around NYC in those heels! Oh the stares one would get. If you dare to try these shoes out, you can get them and plenty of other heightful shoes at High-Heel-Factory.
